David Peters studied Architecture and Fine Art at Montana State University graduating in 1991. He continued his post graduate studies in Fine Art at Memphis School of Art. David grew up in a construction family and worked on large commercial construction sites from the age of 16. He uniquly combines in-depth construction and management skills with the eye of an artist.
David founded the business in 1995 in Bozeman. After expanding in 2000 his office and stone yard are now located at his family's farm near Belgrade where he also raises some cows, horses, and a flock of geese.
David specializes in fine custom stone work. His artistry can be seen throughout the region in and on homes of all sizes and notable commercial buildings. By studying the craftsman of the past he not only brings old world techniques to modern buildings, he provides masonry restoration and adaptive reuse to historic buildings.
He has always maintained trust and commitment to his clients and contractors by running safe, clean jobsites while consistently delivering excellent work on schedule. With David's in depth knowledge of the construction process DPM is in full compliance with all safety regulations and work rules.
An example of his commercial stonework can be seen on the exterior of the Kenyon Noble Brick, Block, and Tile Co. (On Jackrabbit Ln.). A few examples of historic restoration in Bozeman include The Carnegie Library, Emerson Cultural Center, and St. James Church.
